In what is almost certainly just the beginning, a 7-year-old girl in US has suffered a brain bleed after her Pfizer vaccination. Australia has approved vaccination for children 5-11, Justin Trudeau’s 7-year-old son has received his first dose and a mother says her 7-year-old daughter was given an adult dose of COVID vaccine.

7-Year-Old Suffers Stroke And Brain Hemorrhage 1 Week After Receiving Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

In a Facebook post on the 25th of November, a man named Barry Gewin writes about his young niece, Harper, who suffered from a stroke and brain hemorrhage just one week after receiving her first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. The 7-year-old was taken to intensive care where her condition has since stabilized and has shown good signs of improvement.

Australian Regulator Approves Pfizer Vaccine For Children 5-11

Australia’s medicine regulator on Sunday approved the Pfizer vaccine for children between the ages of 5 and 11, with the health minister saying the rollout could begin from January 10th.

Health Minister Greg Hunt said:

“We have made a careful, thorough assessment, determined that it is safe and effective and that it is in the interests of children and Australians for children 5 to 11 to be vaccinated.”

The Pfizer vaccine will be available to about 2.3 million children in the 5 to 11 age group.

Justin Trudeau’s 7-Year-Old Son Receives First Dose Of Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

Justin Trudeau shared a photo on Instagram of himself, his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, and their 7-year-old son Hadrien at a vaccine clinic in Ottawa on December 3rd.

Trudeau said:

“Sophie and I already got our shots – and today, Hadrien got his first one.”

His wife added:

“Can you see it? You might not be able to perceive it from behind our masks… but this is what relief and gratitude look like. It was Didi’s turn to get vaccinated today. He was pretty brave too! Thanks to all the nurses and volunteers we met; we need all of you to keep us moving forward and getting back to the people, places, and activities we love!”

Earlier, Trudeau stated that the federal government had secured enough doses to fully vaccinate every child between the ages of 5 and 11 as soon as it was authorized by Health Canada.

7-Year-Old Given Adult Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine

A Georgia woman says her 7-year-old daughter was given the adult dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, reports 11alive. Since then, her child has had a sore, red arm, with a slight fever.

“She’s been complaining since Sunday that her arm is very sore. She has a very hard, red knot on her arm.”

The mother said her child was vaccinated at the Walgreens on Sunday, and that many other children were in line to get the shot that day.

However, it wasn’t until Wednesday that the pharmacy called to let her know.

“So it took them three days to realize that something had gone astray.
There wasn’t very much concern. She didn’t ask if the child had any side effects or anything. She just said there was a mix up.”
