Megi Bakradze: 27-Year-Old Nurse Dies 1 Day After Receiving AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine, Health Workers Charged

TBILISI, GEORGIA – A 27-year-old nurse has died one day after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine. Megi Bakradze was inoculated on March 18th and immediately went into anaphylactic shock before being transported to the Clinic of Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU) where she died later that day. Her sudden death, less than 24 hours after receiving the vaccine is under investigation.

Bakradze told TV9, a Georgian news outlet, that COVID-19 vaccines are necessary and also that everyone needs to get vaccinated.

The three employees who administered the shot at Imedi Hospital were charged by the Prosecutor’s Office for providing false information about the death of the 27-year-old. The accused doctors face two to six years if convicted.
