Historic Mass Vaccination in UK Corresponds with Record Number of Vaccine Injury Compensation Claims TrialSite Staff

While not discussed much in the American mainstream media, British news reports on mounting monetary requests based on COVID-19 vaccination injury claims. Thus far up to 920 applications for COVID-19 vaccine compensation applications have been submitted by persons seriously injured, or from family members who experienced a death due to the jabs.

Filed under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme (VDPS) some projects over £110 million ($147.4m). With a cap at £120,000 ($160,812) for those left disabled due to the vaccine, now lawyers report victims of the COVID-19 vaccines seek reform of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act reports The Times.

Hugo Daniels and Susan Watkins report that based on their research for The Times 920 applicants have filed for their claims yet to date no payments have been made to anyone.

The reporters educate that the £120,000 limit was established under the 1979 Vaccine Damage Payments Act (VDPA). Qualification?  One must demonstrate that they are at least 60% disabled due to a particular vaccination.

With 95 clients seeking COVID-19 vaccine-related compensation, the attorney shared that her clients understand they are an ‘unlucky minority’ but nonetheless seek reform of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act.  While they are thankful for the program they would like to see more ‘meaningful financial support for those families who can successfully demonstrate injury related to the vaccine.

Due to the sheer number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the (UK)—over 52 million people with one dose and 49 million with two doses–another lawyer named Peter Todd with Scott-Moncrieff shared that a surge of claims have ensued. The VDPS typically involves about 100 applications per year and has paid out £75,350,000 since 1979: a  £120,000 payment hasn’t been considered in 15 years.

In the United States TrialSite has discussed the liability shield of the PREP Act which is capped at $50,000.
