Covid Vaccination is a Major Risk Factor for Infections in Critically Ill Patients, says Japanese cardiovascular surgeon BY RHODA WILSON

Last week, in a letter to the editor of Virology Journal, Dr. Kenji Yamamoto, a Japanese cardiovascular surgeon, wrote that Covid injections are a major risk factor for critically ill patients and “besides the risk of infections owing to lowered immune functions, there is a possible risk of unknown organ damage caused by the vaccine.”

As a safety measure, Dr. Yamanoto recommended that further booster vaccinations should be discontinued and other measures should be taken for vulnerable patients.

Dr. Yamamoto begins his letter by referring readers to a study published in February in The Lancet on the effectiveness of Covid injections and the waning of immunity with time and European Medicines Agency (“EMA”) recommendations, published in September 2021, that frequent Covid booster shots could adversely affect the immune response and may not be feasible. “Several countries, including Israel, Chile, and Sweden, are offering the fourth dose to only older adults and other groups rather than to all individuals,” Dr. Yamamoto noted.

The Lancet study showed that immune function among vaccinated individuals 8 months after the administration of two doses of Covid injection was lower than that among unvaccinated people. These findings were more pronounced in older adults and people with pre-existing conditions.

Dr. Yamamoto noted that several factors cause a decrease in immunity and wrote of the effects of Covid injections that the institute where he is employed  – the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, Okamura Memorial Hospital, Shizuoka, Japan (“the institute”) – was witnessing.

Decrease in immunity

N1-methylpseudouridine is used as a substitute for uracil in the genetic code. The spike proteins do not immediately decay following the administration of mRNA injections. The spike proteins present on exosomes circulate throughout the body for more than 4 months, Dr. Yamamoto wrote.

“In addition, in vivo studies have shown that lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) accumulate in the liver, spleen, adrenal glands, and ovaries and that LNP-encapsulated mRNA is highly inflammatory.

“Newly generated antibodies of the spike protein damage the cells and tissues that are primed to produce spike proteins, and vascular endothelial cells are damaged by spike proteins in the bloodstream; this may damage the immune system organs such as the adrenal gland.

“Additionally, antibody-dependent enhancement may occur, wherein infection-enhancing antibodies attenuate the effect of neutralising antibodies in preventing infection

Vaccine-acquired immunodeficiency syndrome

Some studies suggest a link between Covid injections and reactivation of the virus that causes shingles, Dr. Yamamoto noted.  This condition is sometimes referred to as vaccine-acquired immunodeficiency syndrome.

“Since December 2021 [the institute] has encountered cases of infections that are difficult to control. For example, there were several cases of suspected infections due to inflammation after open-heart surgery, which could not be controlled even after several weeks of the use of multiple antibiotics. The patients showed signs of being immunocompromised, and there were a few deaths.”

Vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (“VITT”)

The media have so far concealed the adverse events of vaccine administration, such as VITT, owing to biased propaganda, Dr. Yamamoto wrote. “The institute encounters many cases in which this cause is recognised.”

“These situations have occurred in waves … Four [heparin-induced thrombocytopenia] HIT antibody-positive cases have been confirmed at the institute since the start of vaccination; this frequency of HIT antibody-positive cases has rarely been observed before. Fatal cases due to VITT following the administration of COVID-19 vaccines have also been reported”

Recommendations

“As a safety measure, further booster vaccinations should be discontinued … Several practical measures that can be implemented to prevent a decrease in immunity have been reported [and gave some specific recommendations].

“It has been hypothesised that there will be an increase in cardiovascular diseases, especially acute coronary syndromes, caused by the spike proteins in genetic vaccines.

“Besides the risk of infections owing to lowered immune functions, there is a possible risk of unknown organ damage caused by the vaccine that has remained hidden without apparent clinical presentations, mainly in the circulatory system. Therefore, careful risk assessments prior to surgery and invasive medical procedures are essential.

“In conclusion, Covid-19 vaccination is a major risk factor for infections in critically ill patients.”

Letter to the Editor: This is a Spiritual Contest and We Are not Alone BY RHODA WILSON

A reader reflects on the “Hot Lots” and why batches of Covid injections differ.  He ends with words of encouragement, “we are not alone.”

To The Exposé,

Covid tyranny: Is it time for the youngest?

While Covid restrictions are disappearing, many may think the Covid tyranny is on life support. Uh, not so fast. Doctor Ashish Jha is Biden’s White House Covid Response Coordinator. Dr. Jha has continued his meteoric rise as he’s moved up from ABC news medical advisor.

For over a year, David Muir would interview the good doctor about Covid. Dr. Jha would be a cheerleader for the next booster as he would tell us that they are indeed safe. Congratulations to the good doctor on his promotion!

Dr. Jha recently stated that Pfizer and Moderna are seeking FDA approval for their Covid vaccine for, wait for it, infants to pre-schoolers. They hope this will be done by 6/15. If so, vaccinations will be available by 6/21.

This alone is diabolical. However, please allow me to think out loud. Is getting the kids jabbed one of the reasons for the different batches that were originally sent out? On 5/23 The Exposé ran a report that showed 90% of the jab related deaths came from only 5% of the batches that were sent out. This isn’t to say that the other 95% were safe. However, had all jabs been created equal, billions would have dropped like flies.

My original thinking was that it was a diabolical way to hide culpability. I know a dozen or so jabbed friends and/or relatives that are jabbed and doing fine. One is a 93-year-old that got the jab and is alive and kicking. Their problems may be down the road but culpability will be hidden.

Is there another agenda in play? What about the parents that gave the thumbs up on their social media after getting the jab? Will they welcome this about to be approved shot for their child? Was this one of the reasons the merchants of death didn’t want a mass die-off?

Isaiah 59:7

“Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts, ruin and destruction lie in their wake.”

Operation warp speed continues. No politician will save us. No rising star running for office will save us. Satan’s minions are well-financed. They get paid to carry out his destruction, often with your tax dollars. They are addicted to power and money. They aren’t going away.

Jeremiah 15:21

“I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.”

This is a spiritual contest. As we compete, we are not alone. When we move, God moves. He has the hard part. We have the easy part. We stand against the evil. Only God can defeat the evil.

Regards,

Stan Sylvester, USA

Kelly Joe Phelps, blues and country musician, dies aged 62

June 3, 2022

Kelly Joe Phelps, the celebrated singer and guitarist whose music traversed blues, country and jazz, has died aged 62. A post on his Facebook page said he died “quietly at home in Iowa”.

Born in Washington state, Phelps was raised in a musical family and first trained as a jazz musician, but broadened his playing after being inspired by artists such as Mississippi Fred McDowell. “I wanted to figure out a way to improvise like a jazz musician would, but at the same time play a style of music that was more closely linked to folk forms,” he explained.

His debut album, Lead Me On, was released in 1994 and has endured, earning millions of streams. With spartan arrangements that put Phelps’s skilful slide guitar and earnest, soulful voice to the fore, it is much admired and appears in The Penguin Guide to Blues Recordings.

Australia: ABC’s Uninformed, Incompetent and Stupid View on Mass Vaccination BY RHODA WILSON

“I have a dream … that epidemiologists would no longer voice their opinions on C- 19 mass vaccination …” – Geert Vanden Bossche

One of the more hilarious articles on herd immunity and vaccination I’ve encountered has, once again, been written by an epidemiologist: ‘Herd immunity was sold as the path out of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here’s why we’re not talking about it anymore’, ABC, 3 June 2022

By Geert Vanden Bossche

This gentleman [from ABC] is poking fun at people who “were attached to the now-discredited notion of letting a dangerous virus rip through the population to reach the critical level of population immunity needed to reduce transmission.” It’s ironic that this epidemiologist dares to make such a statement as it quickly becomes crystal clear from his illiterate talk that he doesn’t even understand what herd immunity is all about.

In the case of acute, self-limiting viral infections that have the potential to spread asymptomatically (e.g., SARS-CoV-2), there is no immune mechanism other than sterlising immunity that could lead to the “possible elimination or eradication” of SARS-CoV-2 that this windbag is alluding to. As none of the C-19 vaccines (including those that are in the pipeline) are capable of inducing sterilising immunity, and as SARS-CoV-2 can spread asymptomatically, his idea that “when available and taken up at sufficient levels — [vaccines] could squash virus transmission” is completely nonsensical to begin with.

He then goes further to make a mistake so egregious that it deeply perplexes me: he links an increased vaccination rate to a higher level of herd immunity (“HI”) and to a lower susceptibility of the population to infection! Here is the analogy he uses (quite literally) to describe how herd immunity works:

In fact, much like a bushfire goes out when it runs out of fuel to burn, an epidemic begins to decline when the virus runs out of susceptible people to infect.”

He obviously is fully unaware of the real science that provides compelling evidence that vaccinees are not less, but more susceptible to infection! Unfortunately, even that information would be unlikely to help him understand the interactions between population-level immune pressure and the evolutionary dynamics of the virus. He believes that less effective vaccines (which, I assume, to him includes vaccines that, although protective against severe disease, enhance the susceptibility of vaccinees to infection) simply require more people to get vaccinated to achieve HI:

In short, the more infectious the virus and the less effective the vaccine, the more people you need to vaccinate to achieve herd immunity” or: “the greater the proportion of the population vaccinated, the more difficult it becomes for the virus to spread.

According to the author, it doesn’t matter that HI is out of reach—we can compensate for the low level of HI by “other behavioural and environmental measures”! How shallow can one’s understanding of this virus-host immune ecosystem be to not even grasp that diminished transmission does not always equal diminished transmissibility of the virus (or, for that matter, diminished susceptibility of the population or enhanced HI, all of which are synonymous)?

Diminished viral transmission only equals enhanced HI in the case intervention directed at diminishing viral transmission does not result in enhanced viral transmissibility! Especially with the advent of Omicron, C-19 vaccination has led to the expansion of the part of the population that is endowed with infection-enhancing antibodies (i.e., non-neutralising antibodies), which are now increasing the susceptibility of the vaccinees (but not of the unvaccinated) to infection and (mild to moderate) disease. How on earth could one even envisage, let alone propose, that this shortcoming (i.e., lack of HI) could be made up for by “other behavioural and environmental measures (such as physical distancing, wearing masks and improving ventilation)”?

Again, current vaccines that reduce transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in vaccinees are not reducing viral transmissibility at the population level! This is because the dominant propagation of more infectious variants (a direct consequence of mass vaccination!) combined with the enhanced susceptibility of vaccinees to infection with these very same variants increases viral infection and (mild to moderate) disease rates largely beyond what can be compensated for by diminished viral transmission in vaccinees, even if combined with other behavioural and environmental measures.

In other words, reducing viral shedding (amongst vaccinees) is completely futile if this implies enhanced susceptibility of this part of the population to the dominantly circulating variant. This is analogous to continuously ridding your bedroom of dust in a way that increasingly accumulates only the part of dust that you’ve become most allergic to. Will that cleaning operation make you less susceptible to an allergic reaction? No, it won’t— on the contrary, you will now be exclusively exposed to the type of dust you’re becoming increasingly allergic to!

The epidemiologist goes on to state that “based on what we know about currently circulating viral variants, today, herd immunity via vaccination is mathematically impossible.” Clearly, relying on vaccination to achieve HI during a pandemic has nothing to do with mathematics—it has only to do with understanding that ‘leaky’, ‘imperfect’ vaccines are inevitably doing exactly the opposite of what HI does in that they increase (instead of decrease) the proportion of people that become susceptible to infection. Mass C-19 vaccination, therefore, leads to enhanced herd susceptibility, not to herd immunity.

So why is it that epidemiologists who haven’t a clue about immunology or immune selection pressure engage in Op-eds on mass vaccination and herd immunity? They do not realise that mass vaccination throughout this pandemic has led to a disconnect between viral transmission and viral transmissibility to the same extent as viral infection rates have been disconnected from viral morbidity rates. Because of this, their contributions should be profoundly discredited. It is disgusting that their lack of insight into this complex ecosystem does not deter them from encouraging the broader public to hold on to the dangerous mantra that ‘more vaccination will help to control the C-19 pandemic while protecting the population from severe disease’.

According to the uninformed viewpoint from this associate professor, this primary purpose of Covid vaccination will be achieved by continuing mass vaccination campaigns in combination with other behavioural and environmental measures. Little does he know that mass vaccination cannot reduce viral transmission without eventually increasing viral transmissibility, and little does he understand that mass vaccination will not reduce viral disease without eventually increasing viral virulence.

It will only be when people like him and others illiterate in these matters discover (unfortunately, ‘the hard way’) the disastrous consequences of their ill-fated advice on future morbidity and mortality rates that they may begin to realise the level of their incompetence and stupidity.

In summary, I am rephrasing his concluding remarks as follows (I changed the part in bold):

Right now, at the start of winter and with few COVID restrictions, it has never been more important to ensure you …… stay away from the vaccines.

About the Author

After a career in academia, Geert Vanden Bossche worked for several vaccine companies in various roles in vaccine research and development.  He then worked for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, GAVI and the German Centre for Infection Research in Cologne.  He is now an independent vaccine research consultant.

From early on, Vanden Bossche has been warning about the dangers of the use of mass vaccination during a pandemic.  His concern is an immune escape which can briefly be described as worldwide vaccination programmes of this type force the virus to mutate in an aggressive direction, i.e., to become more virulent and dangerous.

In March 2021 he published an open letter urging international health authorities to stop the current Covid injections or else risk unleashing “a global catastrophe without equal.”  In December 2021 he made a second call to WHO.

Missouri Law Would Protect Physicians Who Prescribe Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine By Juliette Fairley

When Dr. Bradley Jones began treating patients with ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine during the height of pandemic, he didn’t expect to lose his position at the SSM Lake of the Ozarks walk-in health clinic.

“Not a single patient went to the hospital after we started treating them with ivermectin [and] hydroxychloroquine,” Jones told The Epoch Times.

“As I got more and more success with it, my partners started using it and then we all had success. That’s why we were growing so fast is because people were wanting treatment and if the treatment wasn’t functional, we wouldn’t have grown.”

Despite Jones’ success, on Dec.31, 2021, SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City closed the clinic where the family practitioner and his four physician associates worked.

“It was never said on their part but our belief is that the clinic was closed by the main hospital because we were treating patients with ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine and discouraging them from being vaccinated,” Jones said.

Jones has since landed a family physician position at another clinic where he continues to prescribe ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine.

“The bottom line here is what are your choices? To let someone get sicker and sicker and sicker until they die from COVID, or treat them with a safe drug that’s been prescribed forever without any complications,” he said.

Jones is among the physicians nationwide who experienced first-hand the politicization of ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine when Donald Trump was president of the United States.

“Multiple pharmacies around the lake here refused to fill the prescriptions and when I spoke to the pharmacy board, they said they couldn’t do that—and yet they did it,” Jones added.

If Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signs HB 2149 into law, pharmacists will be prohibited from disputing physicians who prescribe ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine to their patients.

“When they would prescribe these drugs, there were pharmacies that would refuse to fill the prescriptions,” said Missouri Sen. Rick Brattin (R-Harrisonville). “It turned into a big nightmare situation for the doctors.”

Sen. Brattin helped craft HB 2149 after he was approached by physicians who were on the verge of losing their licenses.

“I was on a conference call with several doctors and on that call, they were saying people were turning them in for prescribing these medications and they felt fear that if they did what they thought was right in their professional opinion, they could potentially lose their ability to practice,” Brattin said.

After being approved by the Missouri Legislature, the proposed law was delivered on May 18 to Gov. Parson who now has 45 days to sign or veto the bill, according to the Missouri Constitution.

“Our indications are the governor is probably going to sign the bill,” said Ron Fitzwater, CEO of the Missouri Pharmacy Association in Jefferson City.

“We have not lobbied hard against it. There are a lot of other pieces in that bill that we would’ve preferred that none of the language was in there because for most patients everything was going fine.”

The Missouri Pharmacy Association worked with representatives from the Missouri Board of Pharmacy and Gov. Parson’s office on the amendment during the final stages of the bill’s approval by lawmakers.

“It goes overboard saying that a pharmacist should not contact the physician in general espousing their frustrations with ivermectin,” Fitzwater told The Epoch Times.

“If they don’t want to dispense it to a patient, that’s their choice. They should just not stock it.

“If they have a good patient that comes to them that wants the script, then the pharmacist must decide if they want to risk that patient going somewhere else to get it.”

The association’s membership, which is made up of 1,800 pharmacists, first year practice members, pharmacy students and some technicians, is divided over the approval of HB 2139, according to Fitzwater.

“They’ve been livid,” he said. “We’ve gotten a lot of nasty comments. Unfortunately, this one was a political issue in addition to being a medical issue and that is always a bad combination.

“It seems like folks on the far Left are opposed to ivermectin and folks on the far Right are in support of it becoming available and I think a lot of that geared back to the Trump administration versus people that were more supportive of the Biden administration.”

Although HB 2149 modifies provisions related to professional licensing and prohibits a state licensing board from disciplining physicians who prescribe the drugs, the bill would not prevent pharmacists from discussing potential adverse reactions or mixed effects with other medications.

“We were not happy with the language, but we all had to live with what seemed to be a speeding train on the tracks, and we weren’t able to derail it other than we did get some changes in the language that we feel comfortable with,” Fitzwater added.

Studies Highlight Potential Long-term Impacts of COVID-19 Pandemic on Teens By Marina Zhang

A June study by researchers from the University of Sydney highlighted concerning trends of increased screen time, alcohol use, and poor sleep for teenagers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The increase has implications for teens’ long-term health, said researchers.

“We know these lifestyle risk behaviors are common among young people, but we also know they are key predictors of chronic diseases later in life, such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and mental disorders,” said lead author Dr. Lauren Gardner, Research Fellow at the University’s Matilda Centre for Research Excellence in Mental Health and Substance Use.

The authors of the study expressed special concern at an observed increase in alcohol consumption, recreational screen time, and insufficient sleep, particularly in girls.

The study examined survey responses from almost 1,000 Australian teens across the states of New South Wales, Queensland, and Western Australia, with the cohort age averaging 12.6 years old.

Researchers compared responses over the 2-year period from pre-pandemic 2019 to 2021, during the pandemic. The authors compared trends in six key lifestyle behaviors that put teens at risk of chronic disease in later life. These include physical inactivity, poor diet, recreation screen time, inadequate sleep, alcohol use, and smoking.

Overall, the team found an 8 percent increase in teenagers engaging in recreational screen time for more than two hours a day. Ninety-four percent of surveyed teens reported excessive levels of recreational screen time during the pandemic, compared to 86 percent pre-pandemic.

A 2021 study conducted in the United States reported similar findings, with average screen use found to be 7.7 hours per day; almost double respondents’ pre-pandemic estimate of 3.8 hours.

“As screen time increased, so did adolescents’ worry and stress, while their coping abilities declined,” lead author Dr. Jason Nagata said.

“Though social media and video chat can foster social connection and support, we found that most of the adolescents’ screen use during the pandemic didn’t serve this purpose,” said Nagata.

In addition to the screen time increase, a greater number of teens reported alcohol consumption: an increase from 2 percent to 10 percent of survey respondents. While researchers expected an increase in alcohol consumption as the cohort aged; they were surprised to find that it was greater for females than males.

Sleep duration was reported to have increased from 2019 to 2021. However, insufficient sleep—sleep duration below 8 to 11 hours—was still more prevalent for females compared to males, with around an extra third of female respondents reporting insufficient sleep.

Other risk factors such as smoking, poor diet, and physical inactivity also reported increases. Researchers say the increases, although associated with the pandemic, were not significant.

Prof. Maree Teesson, director of the Matilda Centre, said the new study reinforces other international research highlighting the varied impact of the COVID-19 pandemic across countries and within regions.

“Supporting young people to improve or maintain positive health behaviors is important,” she said. “The full extent of the impact of the pandemic on children and young people is being recognized internationally.”

EXCLUSIVE: Republicans Press FDA on Why COVID-19 Vaccines Would Be Authorized for Young Children By Zachary Stieber

A group of members of Congress is pressing the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for answers before the regulator decides whether to authorize COVID-19 vaccines for young children.

All Americans aged 5 and older can get a COVID-19 vaccine. The FDA is scheduled to meet with its advisory panel on June 15 to discuss whether to grant emergency use authorization (EUA) for the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for children aged 6 months to 4 years old.

A bicameral group of members of Congress, led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Bill Posey (R-Fla.), are questioning whether an EUA makes sense, given how little risk COVID-19 poses to young children and how the vaccines have plunged in effectiveness against infection as new virus variants have emerged during the pandemic.

“The broad approach of the CDC and FDA to date has been a one-size fits all policy—get the vaccine regardless of age, risk factors, the underlying health of the individual, or previous infection,” the members wrote to FDA Commissioner Robert Califf and members of the advisory panel in a June 7 letter obtained by The Epoch Times. “Yet, to date there remain many unanswered questions about these EUA-approved COVID-19 vaccines and only a small percentage of the safety data about these vaccines that are in the possession of the FDA and the manufacturers has been released for review.”

The members noted that nearly 70 percent of children aged 1 to 4 have recovered from COVID-19, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That recovery gives the children a level of protection against re-infection that studies show is better than the protection from the vaccines. The members also pointed out that children who contract COVID-19 have a high survival rate and have little risk of experiencing severe disease.

The group asked the FDA to answer a series of questions before issuing its decision on the EUA requests from Moderna and Pfizer. They want to know, among other details, the cardiac risk factor for children getting the vaccines; whether the FDA will commit to sticking with a 50 percent effectiveness threshold it outlined in 2020; and whether there is a possibility children who get the vaccines will face higher risk from future variants of the virus that causes COVID-19, known as SARS-CoV-2 or the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.

“The data show that the risks of serious adverse outcomes for COVID for children five and under is very low and as such the standard for evaluating EUA interventions must be very high,” the group wrote. “We believe each question raised above is not just important, but essential questions for the FDA, VRBPAC and the CDC when it comes to doing a thorough job of evaluating the potential benefits and potential risks of the vaccines for which you have been asked to consider granting an Emergency Use Authorization.”

VRBPAC stands for the Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee. It is the FDA’s advisory panel on vaccines.

The group who wrote the letter also includes Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), Rep. Mary Miller (R-Ill.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.), Rep Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga.), Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Rep. Warren Davidson (R-Ohio), Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.), Rep. Diana Harshbarger (R-Tenn.), Rep. Matt Rosendale (R-Mont.), Rep. Vicky Hartzler (R-Mo.), and Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.).

The FDA did not respond to a request for comment.

“I am concerned that in a rush to mandate a ‘one-size-fits-all’ policy, the FDA is failing to consider that this age group is least at risk for complications from COVID and that the CDC estimates 68% of those under five have already had COVID. Common sense would suggest that VRBPAC members have already asked these questions, so we would expect a response by the time they meet. If we don’t receive answers, it is right to assume they haven’t asked basic benefit and risk questions about using this vaccine for millions of children who are at very little risk from COVID,” Posey said in a statement.

“We are in our third year with COVID-19, and we know vastly more about the virus now than we did in 2020. One of the most important things we know is that this virus poses minimal risk for children. Before the FDA approves an Emergency Use Authorization for a children’s vaccine, parents should be able to see the data and paperwork they would use to justify this decision. This is the least the FDA can do for families in Texas and across the country so parents can make the best decisions for their children,” Cruz added.

Given the high survival rate of children, the unknown long-term side effects of the shots, and the post-vaccination heart inflammation cases that were only detected after the vaccines were authorized, “the push for vaccine approval seems absolutely reckless,” Gohmert said.

“Just last month, the FDA essentially announced that people should no longer take the Johnson and Johnson vaccine due to dangerous blood clotting side effects. This, after telling us the J&J vaccine was safe and effective for over a year. As Americans, we have every right to demand that the utmost safety and efficacy standards be implemented and rigorous studies and testing be performed before these injections are approved for anyone, especially innocent children,” he added.

After Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.) reported being told by Dr. Peter Marks, a top FDA vaccine official, in May that the agency would not withhold authorization solely because a vaccine was not at least 50 percent effective. An FDA spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email that the agency “will evaluate any data submitted in the context of the ongoing public health emergency and will only authorize vaccines for the youngest children that meet our standards and for which the known and potential benefits outweigh the known and potential risks.”

Experts and parents are divided on whether vaccines are needed for children, especially healthy children.

Based on research and the effect of COVID-19 on youth, “childhood vaccination should not be considered unless a child has significant co-morbidities like cystic fibrosis, severe Type I diabetes, etc.,” Dr. Steven Hatfill, a virologist, told The Epoch Times in an email.

Dr. Moira Szilagyi, president of the American Academy of Pediatrics, said in a statement that U.S. authorities should “move with all possible speed” to review the data on vaccines for young kids, adding, “Children are not immune from COVID, which can cause severe and long-term illness, hospitalizations and even death.”
